Therapeutic applications of Bioxidative therapy : Management of Arthritis and Peripheral Neuritis.

Arthritis and peripheral neuritis are prevalent chronic conditions, arthritis being often resulting from trauma, infection, immunological changes  & degenerative changes and neuritis being caused by  diabetes mellitus, chronic alcohol use, metabolic or degenerative . 

Conventional therapies may provide limited relief and are frequently associated with side effects or poor long-term outcomes. This study explores the therapeutic potential of medical ozone in the form of intra-articular ozone injections for arthritis and ozone autohemotherapy for peripheral neuritis. Intra-articular ozone therapy demonstrates anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and regenerative effects within joint spaces, offering symptomatic relief and improved joint function. 

Simultaneously, ozone autohemotherapy—administered by reinfusing a patient’s own blood after exposure to a calibrated ozone-oxygen mixture—exerts systemic effects that enhance microcirculation, modulate immune response, and reduce oxidative stress, particularly beneficial in cases of diabetic, alcoholic, and degenerative peripheral neuropathies. 

Preliminary outcomes suggest that ozone therapy may serve as a safe, minimally invasive, and effective adjunct or alternative to conventional treatments. Further controlled clinical trials are warranted to establish its efficacy, standardize protocols, and assess long-term outcomes.
