Abstract: The Role and Impact of Spike Proteins on Human Health : Mitigation strategies and detox protocols
The spike protein, a structural component of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, plays a crucial role in viral entry into host cells by binding to the ACE2 receptor. While essential for viral infectivity, emerging evidence suggests that spike protein, whether from natural infection or vaccination, may have physiological effects beyond its primary function. Studies indicate potential involvement in inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, immune dysregulation, and microvascular damage, which could contribute to conditions such as myocarditis, neurological symptoms, and long COVID.
Persistent spike protein presence in some individuals has raised concerns about prolonged immune activation and chronic inflammation. As a result, research into detoxification and mitigation strategies has gained interest. Potential approaches include enzymatic breakdown (e.g., nattokinase, serrapeptase), antioxidant support (e.g., glutathione, NAC, quercetin, High dose vitamin C), and lifestyle interventions (e.g., fasting, sauna therapy, anti-inflammatory diets). Further clinical investigations are needed to establish effective protocols for mitigating spike protein-related effects while balancing immune responses.
